Competition Concave Arcade Button (30mm)

Happ Controls Competition Series Introduced circa 1990

Classic American-style 30mm concave push button from Happ Controls with genuine IL/iL Competition microswitch. The definitive Western arcade button — concave plunger design provides a different tactile experience than Japanese convex buttons.

Common Applications

The standard button in classic American arcade cabinets (Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, etc.). The concave plunger cups the fingertip for a distinctive feel. Uses a Cherry D44X compatible IL microswitch with heavier actuation force, preferred for games requiring deliberate inputs.

Wiring: Connect the microswitch terminals to your encoder or PCB. Common ground shared across all buttons. Quick-disconnect (0.110") terminals are standard on Japanese buttons.

What People Are Saying

“Happ Competition buttons have that classic concave feel and loud click. Great for retro cabinets. But for competitive play, Japanese buttons (Sanwa/Seimitsu) are objectively faster due to the shorter travel distance.”
