M22-DRP-G
ActifEaton M22-DRP-G Green Maintained Mushroom Actuator (RMQ-Titan)
Eaton M22 green guarded push button.
Applications courantes
Guarded green for Eaton panels. Same protective ring concept.
Research Notes
1. Overview
The Eaton M22-DRP-G is a green mushroom-head actuator for the M22 / RMQ-Titan 22.5 mm system — maintained (latching), non-illuminated. The "DRP" code = D (pushbutton) + R (Rastend = latching/maintained) + P (Pilz = mushroom), i.e. a latching mushroom (push to latch, pull/turn to release). It's the green sibling of the red M22-DRP-R (#451). Like all M22 actuators it is a head/operator only and needs a separate M22 contact block to function; front sealing IP67. Eaton M22 mushroom heads can be field-converted between maintained and momentary. (Data-quality note: this was cataloged as "Green Guarded/Shrouded Push Button" — it is actually a green maintained mushroom (head-only). "Guarded/Shrouded" is a recurring mislabel template — cf #450/#451/#500/#501/#502.)
2. User Sentiment
Standard robust RMQ-Titan hardware. A maintained mushroom latches on until released — used for maintained on/off/hold functions. It's modular/head-only: order actuator + contact block + fixing adapter. Note a green maintained mushroom is a function/on control — an emergency stop uses a red mushroom (M22-PV/PVT for a certified E-STOP).
3. Real-World Applications
A large green latching mushroom for a maintained on/run/hold function — press to latch, pull/turn to release. Prominent, easy-to-hit target.
4. Technical Specifications
- Type: M22/RMQ-Titan mushroom actuator (head-only), non-illuminated
- Actuator: green mushroom, maintained (latching) — field-convertible to momentary
- Cutout: 22.5 mm
- Contacts: none integral — add M22 contact block(s)
- Sealing: IP67 (front); IP69K typical on M22
- Approvals: UL, CSA, CE
5. Ordering & Compatibility
Order the M22-DRP-G actuator plus an M22 fixing adapter and contact block(s). Fits 22.5 mm cutouts, M22 system. Compare: M22-DP-G = momentary mushroom; M22-DRP-R = red maintained mushroom (#451); M22-PV… = latching E-STOP (safety-rated red).
6. Known Issues / DQ
- DQ: it's a green maintained (latching) mushroom actuator (head-only) — not "guarded/shrouded". Corrected here (6th "guarded" mislabel).
- Practical care: it's a head/actuator only (add contacts + adapter); it can be field-converted maintained↔momentary; a green maintained mushroom is a function control, not an E-STOP (use red M22-PV/PVT).

Panel cutout: 22.5mm. Insert from the front of the panel, secure with mounting nut from behind (tighten to 2-3 Nm).
Contact block: Snap or screw the contact block onto the rear of the button body. Ensure the contact block orientation matches the wiring diagram — NO terminals are usually marked.
Wiring: Use 0.5-2.5mm² stranded wire with ferrules. Tighten screw terminals to 0.8 Nm. Test the button function before energizing the circuit.

Button doesn't respond when pressed
Check the contact block first — it's the most common failure point. Test continuity across the NO or NC terminals with a multimeter. If no click is felt, the return spring in the head may be broken.
Works intermittently
Contact block contacts are pitted or burned. Replace the contact block — don't try to file the contacts. Check if the rated cycle count has been exceeded.
Button feels mushy or doesn't click
The spring return mechanism in the button head is worn. Replace the head. The contact block can usually be reused if it tests OK.
