BOX-SILENT-PINK
現行品Kailh BOX Silent Pink — Light Silent Linear 35g
Kailh BOX Silent Pink — dampened linear with dust resistance.
主な用途
Combines two premium features: BOX dust resistance + silent dampeners. The quietest BOX switch. For office keyboards and shared workspaces where typing noise is an issue but you still want the BOX housing benefits.
Research Notes
1. Overview
The Kailh BOX Silent Pink is a light, silent linear mechanical keyswitch. It combines Kailh's BOX stem/housing (a box-shaped stem with an IP56 dust- and water-resistant contact chamber) with integrated silencing pads that damp both the downstroke and upstroke. At ~35 g actuation it is one of the lighter silent linears, aimed at quiet office/shared-space typing and quiet gaming. Note the BOX housing is compatible with SMD LEDs only (no through-hole LED).
2. User Sentiment
Well regarded as an accessible, quiet, light linear — a common recommendation for a silent build on a budget. Reviewers like the muted sound and smooth travel; the trade-offs cited are the slightly "mushy" feel silencing pads add (typical of all silent switches) and reduced travel versus non-silent switches. Compared favorably to Gateron Silent and Cherry MX Silent Red as a lighter option.
3. Real-World Applications
Silent mechanical keyboards for offices, streaming setups, dorms, and shared spaces; accessibility builds wanting light force + quiet operation. The BOX housing's dust/water resistance also suits harsher environments.
4. Technical Specifications
- Type: Linear, silent (dampened)
- Stem/color: BOX stem, Pink; MX-compatible keycaps
- Actuation force: ~35 g; bottom-out ~45 g
- Travel: 1.8 mm pre-travel, 3.6 mm total (shortened by silent pads)
- Housing: polycarbonate top / nylon bottom, stainless-steel spring; IP56 dust/water-resistant BOX contact chamber
- LED: SMD only
- Rated life: ~80 million actuations (Kailh BOX rating)
5. Ordering & Compatibility
Sold by keyboard specialists (MechanicalKeyboards, MaxGaming, Cherry Xtrfy, Thock King, KPrepublic) in packs. Plate- or PCB-mount versions exist; BOX stem takes standard MX keycaps but note the box stem can be tighter on some caps. Hot-swap compatible on MX sockets.
6. Known Issues
No major reliability issues; BOX switches are known for durability and dust resistance. The usual caveats are the silent-switch feel (slightly cushioned bottom-out) and SMD-only LED support.

Actuation Force
The force needed to press the button. Lower = more sensitive. Sanwa ~65g (light), Seimitsu ~85g (medium), Happ ~130g (heavy).
|
~35g actuation / ~45g bottom-out
|
|
Color
Button/actuator color. Green = start/go, Red = stop/emergency, Yellow = caution, Blue = reset (per IEC 60204-1).

IP Rating
Ingress Protection rating — first digit is dust (0-6), second is water (0-9). Higher is better.
|
IP56 (BOX housing)

Material
The bezel/body material. Metal bezels are more durable in harsh environments. Plastic is lighter and cheaper.

Mechanical Life
How many press cycles before mechanical failure. Higher is better — 10M cycles at 100 presses/day = 274 years.
|
80,000,000 cycles

Travel Distance
How far the button moves when pressed. Shorter = faster response. Sanwa 0.85mm is extremely short for competitive gaming.

取付クイックリファレンス
Panel cutout: 22mm. Insert from the front of the panel, secure with mounting nut from behind (tighten to 2-3 Nm).
Contact block: Snap or screw the contact block onto the rear of the button body. Ensure the contact block orientation matches the wiring diagram — NO terminals are usually marked.
Wiring: Use 0.5-2.5mm² stranded wire with ferrules. Tighten screw terminals to 0.8 Nm. Test the button function before energizing the circuit.

トラブルシューティング
Button doesn't respond when pressed
Check the contact block first — it's the most common failure point. Test continuity across the NO or NC terminals with a multimeter. If no click is felt, the return spring in the head may be broken.
Works intermittently
Contact block contacts are pitted or burned. Replace the contact block — don't try to file the contacts. Check if the rated cycle count has been exceeded.
Button feels mushy or doesn't click
The spring return mechanism in the button head is worn. Replace the head. The contact block can usually be reused if it tests OK.
